Laurel Halo - Chance of Rain

Late last year, Laurel Halo released another full length record on Hyperdub records. The album was one I skipped over quickly but upon recently revisiting realized I was missing a lot. This record is a great as the techno songs are structured so well and sound great. It does not feature as much experimentation as its predecessor but still remains an overall central themed song structure and well executed tunes that showcase this woman's many talents. This is one for electronic fans to pick up and spend some time with because if you are anywhere near where I was, you have not been listening to this record enough! So put your ear to this track, and see what you think for yourself.

Miles - Blatant Statement

I recently picked up a Miles EP titled, Unsecured, which was released after Miles most recent full length, Faint Hearted. The EP starts off with a great decomposed house track that carries abrasive frequency builds through the dark hitting track. The song pairs well with the artwork and leaves one to imagine that this would be playing in some top secret boat flying across some open water. Put your ears to this track and see what you think for yourself of this dark electronic Miles jam.
